He might be returning to Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week, but don't expect Kanye West to take the mic and perform during Thursday night's episode.
"Kanye will not be performing and we will not have any other musical performances tomorrow," said a rep for Kimmel and ABC in an email exclusively to Variance, responding to speculation about a lack of musical guest being listed on Thursday's schedule.
West's appearance follows the release of his new album Ye back in June, but it comes five years after his intense feud with the late night host, which was sparked by Kimmel's parody of Ye's BBC Radio 1 interview in which he referred to himself as "the No. 1 rock star on the planet."
Following the segment, which featured a child playing West and aired on Kimmel's ABC show, West took to Twitter to blast the comedian for trying to spoof "the first piece of honest media in years."
Kimmel on Tuesday night revealed on Twitter (of course) West would be his guest this Thursday. Apparently a sign of the pair's softened relationship, he referred to the rapper as Hurricane Kanye.
On Thursday night, HURRICANE KANYE strikes @JimmyKimmelLive! @KanyeWest
