Outside Lands returned to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Friday with the festival's signature mix of fog, cloudy skies, towering trees and a lineup that effortlessly bounced between indie rock, hip-hop, punk and soul. While Charli XCX closed the night on the main stage, Day 1 also belonged to a deep supporting lineup that showcased many of the weekend's most exciting artists.

The day began with standout sets from Faouzia, Chezile and Die Spitz before Durand Bernarr brought his unmistakable blend of funk, R&B and larger-than-life charisma to the Lands End stage. Wet Leg kept the momentum rolling with one of the afternoon's biggest crowds, while Sierra Ferrell's genre-defying performance offered a welcome contrast with her captivating mix of bluegrass, folk and country.

As evening settled over Golden Gate Park, GloRilla delivered an energetic main stage performance before Geese unleashed their unpredictable brand of rock on Sutro. The night concluded with a blistering set from Turnstile, whose relentless energy transformed the hillside into one of Friday's most memorable scenes.
