Charli xcx kicked off a new chapter Friday night in Philadelphia, launching her Music, Fashion, Film Tour at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
The opening night arrived on the heels of Charli’s latest album, Music, Fashion, Film, extending an era that finds the British star continuing to blur the lines between pop music, fashion and the visual world around her. And if Friday was any indication, she’s bringing all of it together for her latest live show.
Charli pulled from across her catalog throughout the night, mixing new material such as “Rock Music,” “SS26” and “No One Lasts Forever” with Brat favorites including “360,” “Von dutch,” “Apple,” “Club classics” and “365.” The set also reached further back for longtime fan favorites including “Track 10,” “party 4 u” and “Vroom Vroom,” while “Persona” received its live debut.
The Philadelphia show, which featured support from underscores, marked the first stop of a North American run that continues with two nights in Brooklyn before heading to Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and the West Coast, with festival appearances at Austin City Limits also on the schedule.
