Lorde and Father John Misty will be performing on Saturday Night Live when the show anxiously returns with live episodes in March.
NBC confirmed on Thursday that Father John Misty will perform on March 4, joining previously announced host Octavia Spencer, who is promoting the Golden Globe-winning Hidden Figures as well as her new film The Shack, which opens the same weekend.
Father John Misty's appearance will come ahead of his new album, Pure Comedy, which is set to be released April 7 on Sub Pop/Bella Union.
As we previously reported, Lorde is expected to release a new single on March 7, the week before her own SNL performance on March 11, alongside host Scarlett Johansson. Lorde's sophomore album is one of Variance's 50 Albums to Watch for in 2017.
Thanks especially to Donald Trump's disheveled presidency, SNL has been a ratings giant since the inauguration, with the Alec Baldwin-hosted episode ironically surpassing Trump's own hosting in 2015 and delivering the show's best ratings in six years.
