In the middle of so many disturbing headlines and news updates, there's good news because James Vincent McMorrow is back with his first music in three years.

It's no secret McMorrow has and will always be one of our favorites, but his newly released single "Headlights" is a breath of fresh air, especially now. The buoyant, massive new cut arrives as the first preview of the singer's upcoming fifth studio album, which will be his first on Sony Music U.K./RCA Records.

"I wanted 'Headlights' to start in a plaintive humble place and finish in this huge place,” says McMorrow, who is currently working on a video with fans after having to scrap his original plans for an accompanying visual because of the lockdown.

The upcoming album, which finds McMorrow in a bigger, bolder space musically—it's also his first since becoming a dad—it was produced by the singer himself alongside some heavyweights such as Paul Epworth, Lil Silva, Kenny Beats and Chairlift's Patrick Wimberley.
