NBC is in the process of creating a new comedy streaming service, which would contain a hybrid of full episodes of existing programming and original series.

According to The Wall Street Journal, a subscription would likely give users access to on-demand episodes of The Tonight Show and Saturday Night Live, although the network remains unclear about specific content for the service.

Variety reported Tuesday that the service could cost between $2.50 to $3.50.

HBO and Showtime have standalone streaming apps in the works, while CBS launched its own last fall for a $5.99 monthly fee, which includes current and past seasons of shows and live streaming in certain markets.
