It looks like Johan Lenox is really taking aim at 2020, starting off with his new song "Bad Decisions," a collaboration with Wifisfuneral.

The track arrived Friday with an accompanying video, which is apparently his first release of the year following his Everybody's Cool But Me EP, which arrived last summer, as well as his Yung Pinch collab "No One Wants to Dance Anymore," released in November.

"I wrote 'Bad Decisions' about missing someone so much that you act out your stress and unhappiness in self-destructive ways," says Johan of the new song. "You know in the moment that what you're doing is fucked up, yet you’re not be able to stop yourself. I also wanted the song to reflect this isolated feeling I had as a kid growing up in the suburbs of Boston. Besides drums, the only sounds in the track are orchestral instruments, especially violin and cello, which I've felt a close connection to since I started composing live orchestra music when I was 14."

"Bad Decisions" is the formerly indie artist's latest release on Island Records. It follows a busy career working extensively behind the scenes, producing for the likes of Travis Scott, Kanye West, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, Teyana Taylor, Nas, Vic Mensa, Alessia Cara and others.

His own debut project is expected later this year.
