Mac Miller was found dead on Friday in his California home. He was 26.
The rapper died of an apparent overdose, according to first reports from TMZ. He was said to have been found around noon PST in a bedroom of his home in San Fernando Valley home. The website cited law enforcement sources claiming he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Miller, who was born Malcolm James McCormick, had been open about his substance abuse struggles in the past. Last month, he was charged with a DUI from a car accident back in May.
Just over a month ago, he released his new album Swimming, perhaps his most personal solo effort.
At press time, a rep for Miller had yet to release a statement.
