Post Malone and 21 Savage have their first No. 1 single.
After debuting in the swanky No. 2 spot three weeks ago, "Rockstar" has climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving the two rappers their first chart-topper. Malone previously peaked at No. 8 high with "Congratulations," featuring Quavo, while 21 Savage's "Bank Account" reached No. 12.
"Rockstar" is the fifth rap cut to hit No. 1 this year, tying for the most in a single calendar year and the most since back in 2006
While the song had a mild 48,000 downloads sold in the tracking week ending on Oct. 12, it was easily the most-streamed song of the past week, with 51.3 million U.S. streams, ticking up 3% from the prior week.
This year's four other rap No. 1s are Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," which was atop the chart for three consecutive weeks before "Rockstar" took the crown; DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," featuring Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne; Kendrick Lamar's "Humble."; and Migos' "Bad and Boujee," featuring Lil Uzi Vert.
