The 1975 has confirmed their third album will be called Music for Cars.

Unfortunately, it won't arrive for several months, as frontman Matty Healy said back in February it will be out in 2018.

Nonetheless he told Zane Lowe in a new interview on Thursday "The next record’s called Music For Cars," he affirmed. "That’s the title and it references our second EP or our third EP."

He went on to explain the next record will mark the "end of an era." He further clarified: "It’s always been called that and we were always going to do a trilogy of records. I’m not saying that after this record it’s the end of The 1975 but it’s definitely the end of an era."

The band's sophomore record I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it was among Variance's 50 Best Albums of 2016.
