After a long-running dispute between the two companies, CBS has pulled its networks from Dish Network.
CBS said in a statement on Friday: "[CBS has] been negotiating a carriage agreement with Dish for six months and has already granted two extensions. During this time, Dish has dragged its feet at our many attempts to negotiate in good faith. Behavior like this is why Dish has a long history of depriving customers of the programing they have paid for..."
Unfortunately, this will likely affect those intending to tune in Friday night for the Very GRAMMY Christmas special, in which the Album of the Year nominations are set to be revealed (we've got you covered there). Likewise, fans of college and NFL football this weekend will also be without.
Major markets affected include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Sacramento, Dallas, Boston, Pittsburgh and others.
UPDATE (Dec. 6, 8 a.m.): The companies have reached a multiyear deal that covers CBS, CBS Sports Network, Showtime and others. Programming is being restored Saturday morning.
