Claire Boucher (aka Grimes) has recorded a new track for her upcoming album on which she's collaborating with three female rappers.

Claiming the track is about being "too scary to be objectified," Boucher said in a new interview with Fader that she is withholding the names of the MCs for now.

The songstress has previously said the album, which appears to be nearly finished, will arrive in October, although a formal announcement has yet to be made.

She also clarified past statements suggesting she had scrapped an entire album and started over. "There were just hundreds of songs," she confessed. "On this album that I’m making now, there’s at least a hundred songs that won’t make it onto this. I think all musicians have songs that don’t make it onto records."

Perhaps not coincidentally, Grimes' next scheduled live performance is Oct. 24 at Beach Goth in Santa Ana.
