It's a good Friday when you get new music from OPIA. And that's exactly what we have today.

The indie-electronic outfit today released their tender new track "Strings Attached." It's perhaps different from what some fans might expect from the trio made up of comprised of singer-musician Cole Citrenbaum, vocalist-keyboardist DJ Stanfill and producer Reske, but they seem to be alright with that.

"I had read an old folktale about a man tying strings on all of his fingers to remember all the important moments from his life," says Citrenbaum of the new song. "The sentiment perfectly fit what I was going [through] as I tried to hold onto and make sense of every moment of a past relationship. Time and distance can imbue even the most mundane moments with romantic significance."

OPIA spent last year touring with Marian Hill and Whethan. And they have a number of upcoming U.S. shows. "Strings Attached" is a preview of their upcoming EP.
