As he prepares to head back on the road this month, Irish singer-songwriter has released a new, stripped down version of his 2014 standout track "Gold."

The singer says he recorded it last week in his hotel room. And while the original cut is a complex creation, McMorrow used only his own voice and minimal instrumentation for this equally mesmerizing rendition.

"Gold" is off McMorrow's album Post Tropical, both of which were included on Variance's Best Songs of 2014 and Best Albums of 2014, respectively.
