There is a lot of new music out today, but don't sleep on Jessie Reyez's new album.
The singer on Friday released her sophomore LP, titled Yessie, which is out now via FMLY/Island Records. It includes her recently released single "Mutual Friend" and it's the followup to her 2020 debut Before Love Came To Kill Us, picking up where that record left off two years ago.
This new record finds Reyez documenting experiences of love, loss and healing, with the title Yessie coming from her familial nickname, referencing the vulnerability and intimacy of this latest LP.
