Following the release of his SO BAD EP this past fall, Los Angeles artist Colby Lafayette is back with new music and a new project on the way.

On Tuesday, he shared his gritty new track "BEST GUY," his first this this year and a preview of his next chapter. And while Lafayette has quickly proven hard to pigeonhole, this new offering finds him uncovering entirely different layers.

"On the SO BAD EP I tried to channel and reflect upon my teenage vices," he explains. "Isolation gave me the chance to explore that time in my life and how it affected who I am. Moving forward, the conversation is continuing into the years after and how those vices changed."

Of the new track, Lafayette says it explores the "complex intersection between vice and women in my life."
