When up-and-coming crooner Conor Matthews released his new Balloons EP on Valentine's Day, it was clear he was making his mark on the music industry. But now he's proving he's in it for real.

The longtime Variance favorite on Friday shared a new remix of the massive title track "Balloons," which now features a verse from Tank. While the original was already a steamy pop-R&B gem, the addition of Tank only cements its staying power.

"Mike G called me and said there’s a kid named Conor you really need to check out," says Tank of the experience. "He sent me a song called ‘Balloons’ and after one listen I said, whatever Conor needs, I’m in! I love working with special people and this kid is absolutely special.”

For his own part, Matthews adds: “This song is really special for me because it’s the first time I got to collab with an idol of mine. Tank is an artist I’ve deeply admired since I started singing, and a lot of my ability as a vocalist came from studying what he does. When I found out that he heard my track ‘Balloons’ and loved it and wanted to feature on it, it was such a big moment for me.
