Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers brought their joint tour to Madison, Wisconsin, on Friday, with special guest Lucy Dacus.

Not coincidentally, the trio has been enjoying a nice amount of buzz in recent weeks as they've all joined forces to create the indie supergroup boygenius. Having already booked a North American tour as individual acts, the three artists released their self-titled debut EP at the end of last month.

"A long time ago, before I even met Phoebe, Julien mentioned that she had a pipe dream of starting a band with both of us," said Dacus at the time the EP was released. "Then we booked this tour and decided the time was right."

They recorded the six-track project in a single day back in June at the Sound City studios in Los Angeles. And after making their TV debut as an outfit earlier this month on NBC's Late Night with Seth Meyers, they've now been on the road in support of their own music as well as the collaborative EP.

As has been the case on the tour, Dacus opened Friday night at the Sylvee, followed by Bridgers and Baker, with the three then linking up for a set as boygenius, performing each song from the EP.

As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, we're definitely grateful for these three artists and their powerful work as solo artists and together as collaborators. If you haven't seen them live, you should definitely do that.
