After a number of cryptic posts on social media, Fall Out Boy has made its return, releasing a new single "Young and Menace."

The track arrived Thursday in the form of a gripping video, serving as the first preview of Fall Out Boy's upcoming seventh studio album MANIA, which won't arrive for several months, on Sept. 15 via Island Records/DCD2 Records.

“There’s a lyric in the song, ‘trying to send the world a message, I was young and a menace,’ that reminded me of growing up in the suburbs of Chicago," said Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, explaining the new single. "I didn't look like anyone there ... I felt like an outsider in my own town. It wasn't until I discovered punk rock and that community that I realized I did fit in somewhere in this world—with the other people who didn't fit in. It’s hard to rationalize rage. It’s hard to quantify anxiety... this song does neither, it embraces the wave."

The band will also be heading out on a 20-city North American. Tickets go on sale next Friday, May 5, but a special pre-sale starts this Monday, May 1, with $1 from every ticket going towards the band’s newly launched Fall Out Boy Fund, which will support a number of charities in the Chicago area.

The album is available now for pre-order and the video for "Young and Menace" can be seen below. Tour information can be found here.
