Belgium-based hip-hop duo blackwave. is back with a new song, their new single "Bittersweet Baby," which arrived Friday.

The simmering new track is the latest from rapper Jay Atohoun and singer-producer Willem Ardui, who have been making music together since 2017 and have cemented themselves as Variance favorites during that time. Their debut album ARE WE STILL DREAMING? was released back in November.

"This song was written on an instrumental made by Konteks that had been recommended to us by the head of Sony Europe just a couple days before and couldn’t have come at a better time," says Atohoun.

For his part, Ardui adds of the video: "I'm actually glad we got to experience these little snippet stories as they were meant to be experienced; without any context, strongest in their simplicity, leaving you behind with more questions then answers."
