Just in time for the weekend, Antwerp producer Willem Ardui and rapper Jay Walker (aka Blackwave) have dropped a funky new single called "Swangin'."

It's an undeniable jam from the Belgium-based duo, who draw influence from the likes of The Roots and Mos Def. The track, which was released Friday with an accompanying video, follows the pair's 2017 debut Mic Check EP as well as their recent single "Elusive."

"For us this title holds the meaning of colouring outside the lines, thinking outside the box," the band said of the new song. "In our process of writing music we don’t think about what we want to make at all; we just create what we feel in the moment. Whether it’s a banger, a heartfelt soul track or a funky live jam, if it feels right we’ll run with it."

Directed by Aäron Beyers & Eloi Cyuzuzo Nsanzabandi, the video for "Swangin'" offers up a preview of Blackwave's upcoming debut album.
