Ski Mask the Slump God, by Bailey Accorto

It's been a big, rollercoaster year for Ski Mask the Slump God. And as he closes out 2019, he made one stop through Miami delivering a mighty, yet emotional concert Wednesday night at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

The show, featuring support from Pouya, DJ Scheme and Danny Towers, was part of Ski Mask's first real headlining tour, with Wednesday's rowdy performance coming almost exactly a year after the release of his debut project Stokely. It was also just days after the death of Juice WRLD, not only a fellow artist but one of Ski Mask's best friends within the industry.

At one point in the show, Juice's song "Legends" played overhead as a tribute, with the crowd singing the lyrics while Ski Mask tried his best to contain himself on stage, especially during one of the song's most ominous lines: "What's the 27 Club? We ain't making it past 21."

The Miami performance was one of Ski Mask's last shows of 2019. Outside of a performance at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, where Juice WRLD was also scheduled to perform, Ski Mask's next shows won't be until after the new year.
