Lil Uzi Vert's busy summer is coming to a big finish. His debut full-length, Luv Is Rage 2, is now the No. 1 album in America.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, the record, which was released on Aug. 25, moved 135,000 equivalent album units in its first week. Not surprisingly, its chart-topping debut was largely fueled by streaming, which accounted for 100,000 of the units (via 150.6 million on-demand streams).
Those numbers were easily enough to propel Luv to the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart, giving Lil Uzi Vert his first No. 1.
"I took this more seriously than anything in my whole life,” said Uzi in a statement when the album was released. "There’s a difference between mixtapes and albums. I’ve done mixtapes. I worked a ton on this though. I wasn’t playing. I made it an album."
The news follows his big performance with Ed Sheeran at the MTV Video Music Awards, where he also won VMAs Song of the Summer for "XO Tour Llif3."
