The Mercury Prize nominees for best British album of the year have been revealed.

Among those vying for the annual title are Sampha, The xx, Alt-J, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Glass Animals, J Hus, Kate Tempest and others.

For The xx and Alt-J, this marks their second nomination after winning in 2010 and 2012, respectively. This year's ceremony will take place on Sept. 14.
