Chance the Rapper took to Twitter on Thursday to apologize for "publicly disrespecting" Dr. Dre and the label he founded, Aftermath Entertainment.

"When I went on the Be Encouraged tour I made LED content to satirize and degrade major labels," Chance said today, adding: "I made the mistake of including imprints, which not only dulled my overall point of trying to uplift [artists] but also singled out artist-owned ventures that have only worked to progress the culture."

As part of Chance's ongoing tour, parody versions of major record labels' logos are shown during his performance of "No Problem." Specifically, Aftermath Entertainment has been lampooned as Can't Do Math Entertainment.

"I want to formally apologize to Dr Dre and all of Aftermath for publicly disrespecting their hard work and contributions to music," Chance tweeted.

Aftermath is an imprint of Interscope Records and thus part of Universal Music Group.
