Avicii is retiring from life on the road, the Swedish DJ-producer revealed Tuesday in an emotional letter to fans.
Thanking his fans and peers, Avicii said he's been "blessed to be able to travel all around the world and perform, but I have too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist."
He further explained that he will "never never let go of music — I will continue to speak to my fans through it," explaining that a recent cross-country U.S. trip with friends "really helped me realize that I needed to make the change that I’d been struggling with for a while."
The 26-year-old didn't rule out a comeback later, but he seemed intent on taking a new path. "One part of me can never say never, I could be back… but I won't be right back."
