Glee actor Cory Monteith was found dead on Saturday (July 13) at Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. He was 31. The news was first reported by Canada's CTV.

According to police, the actor was found at noon on the hotel's 21st floor, Vancouver police said in a news conference. He had previously checked into the hotel back on July 6 and he was scheduled to check out on Saturday, but he did not. Hotel staff discovered him when they later went to his room.

At press time, foul play is not suspected, but a cause of death has yet to be determined.

The actor in March voluntarily checked himself into rehab for substance abuse.

We are deeply saddened by this tragic news,” read a statement from Glee producers, Fox and 20th Century Fox Television, released early Sunday morning. “Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”

Some celebrities and former co-stars took to Twitter early Sunday to react to the loss. At press time, the core Glee cast members had not responded, minus a tweet from Mark Salling that was soon deleted. All it said was, "No."
