The Weeknd's 'Kiss Land' to Debut at No. 2

With final numbers just hours away, it appears The Weeknd's new album, Kiss Land, will chart very high this week.

The latest effort from the singer born Abel Tesfaye built momentum over the past couple of weeks, leading to a much closer contest between his Kiss Land and Keith Urban's new LP, Fuse. According to early reports from HDD, the former will debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with nearly 98,000 sold, while the Australian country singer's set is aiming for just under 103,000.

Janellé Monae’s The Electric Lady should round out the top 5 with around 48,000 copies sold.

For The Weeknd, this will easily give him his best sales week and highest chart ranking. His 2012 collection, Trilogy, debuted at No. 4 last November with 86,000.

The final numbers from Nielsen SoundScan will be announced Wednesday morning.
