Yoko Ono was taken to the hospital Friday night after displaying flu-like symptoms, although early reports suggested she may have had a stroke.

Page Six cited sources close to the situation claiming the 83-year-old singer and widow of the Beatles' John Lennon called 911 around 9 p.m. EST, fearing she was having a stroke.

Despite the reports, the singer's son Sean Ono Lennon refuted the claims, clarifying that his mother was "simply dehydration/tired," tweeting: "Thanks again for everyone's concern. She's home and running about as usual. Just the flu in the end."

NBC News confirmed via Ono's longtime representative that she had been taken Friday night to Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan and that she was subsequently released to go home.
