Not yet done releasing new music this year, Dan Auerbach's new project The Arcs have released a shimmering new cut "Fools Gold."

It follows the group's debut album, Yours, Dreamily, which arrived in September. The track is a preview of 30th Century Records Compilation Volume I, the upcoming release from Danger Mouse’s new Columbia Records imprint 30th Century Records, due this Friday.

“Generally, Fool's Gold is made of iron or copper pyrites that are often mistaken for gold,” said in a statement about the song, which was recorded at Nashville's Easy Eye Sound this past summer. “It has the same thrilling discovery, the same shiny luster and perceived weight as gold, but it isn't gold and when all is said and done, it has the same value as a hunk of shit. It's always been so easy to be a fool."
