Chance the Rapper says he's working on new music, including a collaboration with Stephen Colbert.
“Me and Stephen Colbert have been working on a song together," the MC said Friday in an interview with Hot 97. "It’s gonna be released very soon. He’s amazing. I can’t get that deep into it, but he’s amazing.”
He went on to explain that he's "working on a lot of music" and that he'll soon release a third mixtape before moving on to what he'll consider to be his first proper album.

The 22-year-old also defended his reasons for not signing with a label, recalling the past: "Back in the day when people used to drop [vinyls] ... there's a circle in the middle and it would say 'Columbia' or 'Motown' or or 'Atlantic' or 'Jive.' And then in smaller letters it would say the artist's name. And in even smaller letters it would say the song name. And I'm not going for that shit."
Being the new father of a one-month-old, Chance also summed up his experience thus far as "the beginning of my life." He continued: "It feels like everything before this point in my life was one bullet point, and every day since then has been a new bullet point."
