Rhys Lewis is launching into the new year wasting no time.

The London-based crooner on Friday released his stunning new single "Better Than Today," which is not only a breathtaking listen but a rather appropriate start for 2019. It also marks the first time Lewis has taken the reins of production for his music.

"We’ve been living through some pretty turbulent times in recent years," says Lewis of the track, which he co-wrote alongside Aidan Glover and recorded straight to tape in their studio in South London. "I wrote this song to ease my anxiety about the state of the world and remind myself that, whatever our differences are, whatever we choose to believe in, we all live with the same good intentions common, and we’re all hoping for a better tomorrow."
