Emerging artist SON has dropped a new single.

The velvety new cut, titled "No Man," arrived Wednesday, premiering first on Variance. And it's instantly spellbinding, bursting with The Weekend vibes and easily blowing through its brisk, two-and-a-half minute run-time, surely leaving listeners anxious for what comes next.

"I wrote it about being infatuated with a girl who I perceived to be fiercely independent," the Los Angeles singer says of his new release. "There was an admiration of her beauty and her persona but also an intimidation that I would not have much to offer her that she could not get already. The song is an interesting blend of being completely smitten by someone, but also trying to hold close to your pride and not to become too infatuated with the person."

Hear "No Man" below and definitely stay tuned for more from SON.
