Before they drop their new album this week, Hippo Campus has released an irresistible new song called "Golden."
It's the latest preview of the St. Paul, Minnesota outfit's upcoming full-length Bambi, which is out this Friday. They had previously shared the title track, which arrived last month with an accompanying video directed by Kyle Sauer.
According to guitarist/vocalist Nathan Stocker, "Golden" was formerly called “Polka Dot Socks" and it's described as a series of questions within a long-lasting relationship. "The desire to scrap everything paired with the desire to keep it all intact," he says. "The journey in walking that fine line. The song was written quickly at the beginning of our demoing process, but it took a while to fashion it in a way that felt right."
