Before they release their debut Chapter One EP on Wednesday, indie-electro duo Loom:ngs have dropped off a final preview in the form of their addictive single "Sullenblue."

The standout cut is premiering today on Variance and it follows their previously released tracks "Make This More" and "Fault Line, as well as their reimagining of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart," all of which will appear on the EP tomorrow.

"We were incredibly inspired by Hundred Waters’ excellent dance bop 'Wave to Anchor' and the textures of Radiohead’s song 'Kid A,'" says the duo, which is made up of vocalist-songwriter Zola Johnson and producer-songwriter Daniel Lompouridis. "The end result of this unusual writing experience is a composition we feel best exemplifies where we wanted to be musically at the time, as well as something that showed us a place we didn’t know we wanted to go."

According to Loom:ngs, which takes their name from "Loomings," the first chapter of Moby Dick, each song from the EP was written in a day, created entirely in Lompouridis' bedroom.

Hear "Sullenblue" below and be sure to check out the full project Wednesday (Aug. 29).
