Maine-born and Nashville-based troubadour Keelan Donovan is heading into the weekend with new music.

The rising singer is releasing his glowing new single "Like a Radio" on Friday, but he's giving fans an early listen of the upbeat track, which is premiering today on Variance and is coincidentally very radio-ready.

"At it’s core, this song captures all things ‘fun’ from the '80s, '90s and today," says Donovan about the new song. "I really tried my best to put elements from each of those decades in the lyrics and melodies. So fired up to have this lyric video out, where the neon lights bring the words to life. The video reminds me of local dive bars—growing up, every town had one, and seeing those lights feels so familiar."

"Like a Radio" follows Donovan's 2017 self-titled EP, while his music was also featured on Nashville and in a trailer for the film The Hero, starring Sam Elliott. The new song is the first preview of his upcoming album, which is expected later this year.
