Fans of Thomas Azier got a burst of new music this week.

The Netherlands-based artist dropped his new song "Echoes," which was quickly followed by the release of his full S t r a y EP, a four-song effort which arrived via Azier's own Hylas Records and included the aforementioned single.

"I wrote the entire record in hotel-rooms while I was travelling Tokyo, Kyoto, Abidjan, Berlin [his own studio], Paris, Rotterdam, Normandy, and in Friesland where I grew up in the very northern part of Holland," says Azier of the new music. "The majority of it was just a laptop and a USB mic. Mixing in the sounds of the surroundings in every track was important to me this kept the music feeling real and present."

While the full EP is worth a listen, "Echoes" is stunning. 10-inch vinyls will also be available in the coming weeks.
