Texas native Cameron Mitchell (aka RVRB) has delivered a perfect Friday gem in the form of his new single "EX."

The hypnotic yet heartbreaking cut arrived today, marking a bit of a "rebirth" for the Los Angeles-based producer/singer/songwriter, who previously released his Faded EP in 2015 followed by a handful of tracks since then.

The new song, which seems like a hybrid of James Blake and The Weeknd, was inspired by a young breakup, with Mitchell drawing from "heartbreak and bitterness, but also a willingness to accept the past and move on."

Now that he's back with new music, this is surely only the beginning, so be on the lookout.
