Meek Mill delivered one of the most powerful moments of Sunday night's BET Awards.

He took the stage to perform "Stay Woke," his first new material since being released from prison back in April. Joined onstage by Miguel (who appears on the track), the Philadelphia rapper offered a gripping performance with a series of violent scenes playing out around him.

The visuals were meant to portray a street in Philadelphia, with children playing alongside adults going about their day. But a feud breaks out and a gang of police officers appears, with one of the officers shooting and killing a child. As the haunting performance progresses, the child's body is covered with an American flag, a reminder of why people continue to protest despite ignorant pushback from the likes of Donald Trump.

As he performed, Mill wore a hoodie bearing the faces of rappers XXXTentacion and Jimmy Wopo, both of whom were shot dead on the same day last week.

Shortly after the BET Awards, Meek Mill's new song "Stay Woke" is now available to stream across digital platforms. Hear it below.
