It's a good Friday because Sports is back with new music. The Tulsa-based indie-pop outfit has released their shiny new single "Don't Tell Me," which is out today across digital platforms.
Comprised of brothers Jacob and Christian Theriot and their childhood friend Cale Chronister, Sports released their 2015 debut album Naked All the Time and last year's sophomore release People Can't Stop Chillin. This is their first new song since last year's "Crime."
"We wrote this track in a hacienda-style house where Jacob and Christian live, which made it fun to act like we were cowboys trying to write a pop song," says Chronister of the new single. "Lyrically, I wanted to describe social anxiety and question if it can be changed, or if that’s just who I am.“
The shimmering new cut follows the band's standout performance earlier this year at SXSW in Austin. And it comes as they've been busy working on new material, with more on the way later this year.
For now, hear "Don't Tell Me" below.
