As the heat of summer moves in, Los Angeles singer-producer In.Drip. is turning up the temperature on his music with the release of his debut single "Titles."
The gummy pop gem arrived Thursday, bursting with nods to West Coast drives and late-night chats. It's built perfectly for long summer nights and windows-down rides, regardless of location.
According to In.Drip, the song is about "imperfect love." More specifically, he says: "It’s longing for night talks to last forever, but realizing that things are not the same in the morning...sometimes I’ll go driving in the hills or in downtown after the world has gone to sleep. ‘Titles’ is written from that point of view."
If In.Drip.'s work seems familiar, it might be because he contributed to fellow L.A. artist Tessa Rae's new single "Downtown," which premiered on Variance last month.
As for his own material, "Titles" is actually a preview of In.Drip.'s upcoming EP, expected to arrive later this year. It was co-produced by Bebe Rexha collaborator Devon Corey.
