After releasing his debut single "Picture Perfect" back in December, rising New York artist Brett Castro is treating fans to another one in the form of "Much About Sadness."
The infectious new cut, which is premiering Monday on Variance, puts the 21-year-old singer's enamoring vocals on full display while diving into a very personal experience.
"I wrote the song after somebody that I loved dearly was diagnosed with depression," Castro says of the new track. "I wanted to be that source of love and support that I never really saw offered to them before, and to make sure that this person knew they weren’t alone—and really, never would be."
The new song comes ahead of Castro's performance later this month in New York, hosted by the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music.
