Jay Electronica is starting the new week with new music, apparently inspired by Kevin Durant.
He dropped a new song called "Letter to Falon" on Monday night, but not before sharing on Twitter he had been inspired by the Golden State Warriors star.
"The last time we saw each other, you and your pops told me to release music," Jay tweeted at Durant, adding: "I've been so inspired by your performance in the [NBA Finals]. Here's a gift for you, brother."
He co-produced the track alongside the Bullitts and Paul Epworth, the latter of whom is best known for working with Adele on a number of her hits. It marks his first material since his guest appearance last year on Emeli Sandé's song "Garden."
While it's unclear if this new track is a preview of Jay Electronica's long-teased album, "Letter to Falon" can be heard below, exclusively on Tidal.
@KDTrey5 peace family. The last time we saw each other, you and your pops told me to release music.
