As if Jason Isbell could possibly do any wrong, he and accompanying band the 400 Unit have released a stirring new song "Cumberland Gap."

The gravelly cut, which arrived Thursday, definitely veers in a welcome, Springsteen arena-ready direction. It's the latest preview of their upcoming album The Nashville Sound, which is out on June 16.

It follows Isbell's own record Something More Than Free, which was among Variance's 50 Best Albums of 2015. and won Best Americana Album at last year's Grammy Awards.
