Belgian singer Max Colombie (aka Oscar & the Wolf) may sell out stadiums back home, but he's finally making a pointed effort to sweep America, starting with his new single "The Game," which arrived Thursday.
The steamy new entry, which follows previous Variance favorites such as "Princes" and "Strange Entity," marks the singer's debut on Neon Gold Records and was produced by Noah Breakfast, who previously worked with the likes of Wet, Ty Dolla $ign and Christine and the Queens).
"I really liked [Noah's] work with Christine And The Queens and Ty Dolla $ign," Colombie said of the new song. "So when we finally found some time to hit the studio in L.A., it really all tied together quickly. We really tried to capture enigmatic sounds of late night clubbing ... the adventure and drama, the mixture of audacity and uncertainty."
In addition to the new music, Colombie, who was among our Best of SXSW 2016, will headline Belgium's Pukkelpop Festival next month alongside Rihanna and LCD Soundsystem.
Hear "The Game" below and definitely stay tuned for more from Oscar & the Wolf.
