It appears Kelly Rowland is the latest to join the star-studed second season of Fox's Empire.

According to E!, the Destiny's Child singer has signed for a guest role as the mother of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) in a series of flashbacks.

As TVLine points out, the role will mark a return to Fox for Rowland, who appeared as a judge on the U.S. edition of Simon Cowell's X Factor.

Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys are among those previously revealed as guest stars for Empire's upcoming sophomore run.
