As Jackson Phillips (aka Day Wave) prepares to release his debut EP, Headcase, this Friday, the Oakland indie-pop crooner is streaming the five-song set a few days early.

The shimmering collection, which includes previously released standout "Drag," is a perfect summer soundtrack with breezy vocals floating through sunny, lo-fi instrumentation.

Day Wave will also take his music on the road next month, including dates supporting Blonde Redhead.
