Following last year's Things I Forgot EP, Philadelphia crooner Aaron Livingston (aka Son Little) is ready to release his debut album. And he's shared the first single "Lay Down."
The soulfully velvet cut is an amazing preview of the singer's forthcoming self-titled record, which will consist of 12 tracks and is due Oct. 16 on Anti-.
"I wrote this song lying in bed with my lady, listening to the tea kettle whistle,” Livingston said of his single. “I think about how complicated our lives are, all the ones and zeros distract us from what we really need and want. Sometimes I just want to take your love and hide.”
His album comes as he's set to hit the road next month with Lord Huron after touring with with the likes of Kelis and Mumford and Sons, while he's also collaborated with The Roots and Mavis Staples.
