As Alex Ebert's Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros prepares to release a new album early next year, the band officially returned on Monday with a hypnotic new song "Hot Coals."
It's the first new material from the group since last summer's departure of vocalist Jade Castrinos, who was unexpectedly ousted last summer in the middle of the band's tour.
“We’ve been on for a while now,” Ebert said in a statement. “But it’s like we just turned on a new page in the old book with the inscription: serve your power and work beyond reason.”
