On Friday, rising singer-songwriter Christian French released his new the space between EP, a six-song project out now via Disruptor Records/RCA Records.

Of course, the new collection includes a handful of previously released songs like "golden years," "lonely" and "thank god," the latter of which finds the singer reflecting on how far he's come since breaking away from a relationship and burning some bridges. But now, we get two new songs "sweatshirt," in which he seems to be trying to break it off with a toxic "one-night stand" who keeps waking up in his sweatshirt more than a few times.

The standout of the new EP, however, is the closing track "more of it," which has an almost spiritual, hymn-like sound to it, with lyrics reflective of someone searching for a "saving grace." It was co-written by Marc E. Bassy, Josh Kerr, Andrew Stoelzing and Nate Miles, with Miles and Kerr co-producing it. The song is accompanied by a video directed by Keenan O’Reilly.

"We all have that one thing—whether that’s a person, a religion or spirituality, a career, anything—that comes along at some point and saves us, completely changing the trajectory of our lives in an instant. ‘more of it’ is my expression of this moment.”

Hear the EP and watch the video for "more of it" below.
